Dr. Pheasant is a native of Huntingdon, PA. He founded Pennsylvania Retina Specialists over 30 years ago. He enjoys spending time with his wife and two adult children. He is an instrument-rated private pilot and a member of the Board of Trustees of his alma mater, Juniata College, where he serves as secretary.

Dr. Pheasant is a member of the Macula Society, the American Society of Retina Specialists, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Pennsylvania Academy of Ophthalmology, the Central Pennsylvania Ophthalmology Society, the American College of Surgeons and the Honor Society of Juniata College. He is a past recipient of the American Medical Association Physician’s Recognition Award. Dr. Pheasant has served as President of the Medical Staff and Chief of Ophthalmology at Holy Spirit Hospital in Camp Hill.


Richard C. Lanning, M.D., F.A.C.S.

Dr. Lanning hails from western Pennsylvania. He joined Pennsylvania Retina Specialists over 30 years ago upon completion of his fellowship. He is married with four adult children. He enjoys spending time with his family, and is an avid skier and sailor.

Dr. Lanning is a member of the American Society of Retina Specialists, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Pennsylvania Academy of Ophthalmology, the Central Pennsylvania Ophthalmology Society and the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Lanning has provided both training in retinal surgery to physicians as well as retinal care to underserved populations around the world.

Dr. Prensky grew up in Maryland and joined Pennsylvania Retina Specialists over 25 years ago. He is married with two adult children. He is an avid cyclist, runner and hiker.

Dr. Prensky is a member of the American Society of Retina Specialists, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Pennsylvania Academy of Ophthalmology, the Central Pennsylvania Ophthalmology Society and the American College of Surgeons.

Dr. Banach comes from western Pennsylvania and joined Pennsylvania Retina Specialists over 10 years ago. He is married with three children. In his spare time, Dr. Banach enjoys spending time with his family, is an avid cyclist and has a special interest in German Shepherds.

Dr. Banach is a member of the American Society of Retina Specialists, Club Vit, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Pennsylvania Academy of Ophthalmology, the Central Pennsylvania Ophthalmology Society and the American College of Surgeons.


Steven N. Truong, M.D.

Dr. Truong is originally from the San Francisco Bay Area in California. He joined Pennsylvania Retina Specialists in 2007 upon completion of his fellowship. He is married and enjoys spending time with his wife and their dog. He is an avid tennis player and an improving golfer. He enjoys traveling and supporting his favorite college and pro football teams.

Lawrence Y. Ho, M.D.

Dr. Ho is originally from the greater Pittsburgh area. He served as chief resident in the Department of Ophthalmology while at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Dr. Ho joined Pennsylvania Retina Specialists in 2010 upon completion of his fellowship. He is married and enjoys spending time with his wife. He enjoys traveling, working out, and participating in golf and tennis.
